Top 5 posts of the day for 6/8/20091) Why real estate agents should stop playing loan officer – This may be the best post I have read in a week. Mark Madsen does a great job in summarizing the loan process and how we agents can help ourselves, our lenders and our buyers. Buyers and agents should both have this as required reading.
2) How the government can fix the “foreclosure crisis” – We all know Jay Thompson does great work, but this may be my favorite piece he ever wrote. Jay want to run for Governor, I will come out of retirement and manage your campaign.
3) Get e-mail alerts when mortgage rates drop – Zillow has a new tool that will e-mail home buyers when the mortgage rates drop. Seems like it could be a great tool for buyers, just remember not all loans or lenders have the same rate.
4) Trustee’s sale foreclosure process – Newbie blogger Brian Kingdeski does a good job at explaining the foreclosure process in states with trustee sales.
5) Cost of buying a property: It’s more then than down payment – Do you know what costs are included in a closing. Here is a list of some of the charges a buyer may expect to see.
