Top 5 real estate posts of the day 6/12/2009
1) ARMLS takes a stand on scraping and indexing – Arizona MLS has taken a stand in favor of Realtors and against recent NAR ruling that says agents should not use IDX solutions on their site because they can be “scraped” by Google. There may have been others, but this is the first I have seen of a local board standing up to NAR on this issue.
2) Pricing isn’t about price. It’s about… – Lane Bailey has one of the best posts on pricing I have read in a long time. If you are a listing agent you should check this one out.
3) What mortgage rates will do over the next 30 days – This is always a fun one to read, the Bankrate.com team things rates are going up, while Dan Green is predicting a decrease. In other words, who knows.
4) Wordpress 2.8 if I were you I would wait – Many of us real estate bloggers use Wordpress, the only reason I have not updated to version 2.8 yet is because I have had a crazy couple days. Looks like I lucked out, this is the second time in two days I have heard don’t do it.
5) Seller’s guide to the short sale process – I have been blogging a lot lately about short sales, as they don’t seem to be going away any time soon. Here is a good post on short sales from a seller and short sale agents side.
